From a cool vintage, the Rizzi 2014 Barbaresco Pajorè has taken on some very pretty aromas of licorice and road tar. The bouquet is dark and savory in character, with more emphasis on spicy tones than fruit freshness per se. Indeed, this vintage offers some evolved tones even at this relatively young age. Pajorè is lean in terms of mouthfeel, with a shorter and more compact approach that is very much in line with this vintage. The release was 3,800 bottles.
