The 2016 Prima Pietra brings some mighty mineral notes, but it lacks the softness of the 2015. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot is direct and sharp in this vintage, and it's a bit more profound in terms of the bouquet. It would nicely accompany an elegant platter of cheeses and charcuterie while sitting by the fire.
