The 2014 Barolo is subdued both in color appearance and mouthfeel. This wine shows the shorter and more accessible side of this cool and wet vintage that was problematic across the entire Barolo appellation. The bouquet reveals dried red fruit and cassis with light shadings of spice, smoke and tar at the back. The wine is very lean in consistency with enough bright acidity to keep the palate refreshed.
